Cosplay idols

Cosplay Idols is a high-energy dance class inspired by anime, idol shows, and rhythm games. Dancers learn group choreography step-by-step while building coordination, timing, stage presence, and confidence through expressive performance and light character acting.

​

Open to middle school students through young adults, this class welcomes all experience levels—no dance or cosplay background required. Cosplay Idols is an inclusive, supportive space for all identities and abilities.​

Cosplay Idols: Cool

​Fridays | 6:30 pm– 7:30 pm instructor: Cale  


Dramatic, high-impact choreography inspired by cooler anime idol styles, blending hip-hop, contemporary, and Broadway influences with strong footwork and dynamic staging. Music may include Ensemble Stars!!, Project SEKAI, Uta no Prince-sama, and more.

Cosplay Idols: CUte

Playful, bubbly J-pop choreography inspired by classic idol groups, with a focus on charisma, expressive armwork, and joyful performance. Music may include Love Live!, Project SEKAI, The Idolm@ster, and more.

Cale DeAngelis (he/Him)

Cale is a cosplayer and lifelong dancer with a background in theatrical and jazz-based styles. A co-founder of IDOLiZED!, he has performed at convention exhibitions and contests across the East Coast and has served as the lead designer, organizer, and event director of Anime Boston’s annual Idol Showcase since 2018. His work has helped elevate cosidol performance into respected stage spaces and increase visibility for performers nationwide.

Cale’s teaching is grounded in the belief that cosplay and performance are for everyone. He is a strong advocate for diversity in idol spaces and focuses on building confidence, authenticity, and full self-expression on stage— especially for underrepresented performers.

Maya Shieber (they/them)

Maya is a dance educator with over 10 years of teaching experience and a big love of movement in all its forms. Classically trained in ballet for 20 years, they began teaching in 2015 and have worked with dancers of all ages—from elementary students to adult beginners.

​

In 2016, Maya joined their first cosplay dance cover group and discovered a passion for idol-style performance. Today, they are the dance captain of the cosidol group IDOLiZED! and perform, compete, and choreograph with the jazz/contemporary Pyrite Dance Team.

​

Maya is thrilled to bring their love of J-pop and idol dance to Endicott Dance! They adore high-energy routines and sweet, sparkly choreography, and focus on creating classes that feel fun, welcoming, and confidence-boosting for dancers from middle school through adult.

Single class: $15

double feature (both cool & cute in the same week): pay $5
